Mother's Day
I have to admit, that sometimes I dread mother's day. Not because I don't love being a mother, it is because sometimes going to church and listening to the perfect mother's lesson and talks makes me feel guilty about what I am not doing. But, this year it wasn't bad, and I know that I am usually doing the best that I can. I actually had a great mother's day. Lee and the kids made me breakfast in bed, and gave me their gifts. Carson and Mara gave me gifts that they made at school. Carson made a wall hanging with his picture on it, and it is really nice. Mara had a picture taken at school with her all dressed up in clothes from Japan, and it had a little poem with it. They also had picked out some earrings and necklace that lee bought for them to give me. Lee had me go to IKEA with him to get a bookshelf that I wanted. I am a avid reader and I am collecting many books :) So now I have somewhere to put them in a orderly fashion. After church, Lee made me a nice lunch and then let me take a nap. YEAH! I then helped him clean up a little and make a nice dinner for his parents, whom we invited over. We had a good visit and enjoyed the nice weather. THANK YOU LEE! It was a great mother's day. I have a great husband who cares about me and wants to let me know that I am appreciated. I also have great kids, they keep me on my toes, but they are great blessings in my life. I am grateful to have this most important calling in my life of being called a mother.

Lee's Graduation!
Last Friday Lee graduated!! It was really fun to see him walk and get his diploma.(OK it really wasn't his official diploma, but he got the case for it):) Carson and Mara came to the University wide graduation, which I don't think they thought it was all that exciting. At the College of Science graduation it was just the adults. I am really proud of Lee and all the hard work he put into his education, and being the botany club president this year. He now has his Bachelor of Science in Botany. Our plans now are working toward graduate school somewhere. CONGRATULATIONS LEE!

Fun Weekend
We had a great weekend together. We went to Carson's soccer game and then played at the park and Lee and the kids built a big tower out of blocks. I always enjoy my weekends off work and when Lee is home also, we don't get enough time as a family. We like spending time as a family more than anything else.

Carson's team is pretty good. They have won all their games so far.

See how tall the tower is? It is higher than Lee. They had fun building it.

Busy Week
This past week and the this week have been very busy. I have been working some extra shifts to make a little extra money for our trip and anything else we need. I like my job, but sometimes it is a little stressful. Most days I just count my blessings that my children were born on time and were healthy, and that I took them home with me. I am counting days until Lee graduates. We are waiting to here about graduate school. I think we should know this week, or next. Lee also has been looking at jobs in case he doesn't get into grad school. There is the possibility that we have to move out of state, but we don't know yet. On a positive note, we got our new sliding glass doors put in and they look great!! Since the one broke a few months ago when Carson crashed into it while sledding in the back yard, we have had a piece of sheet rock in place. I will have to post some pictures of them soon. Only 2 months until our vacation. Yeah!
Another piece of good news. Our downstairs bathroom is slowly being remodeled and lee installed the bathtub, so here is a picture of the kids taking a bath in our new bathtub.

Rain, Rain, go away....for now
I am really ready for spring to be sprung. I went to Carson's soccer game on Saturday, and it was FREEZING. With the wind blowing, I was definately cold. I had to walk around to keep warm. The kids playing soccer didn't complain much and they had fun. Carson's team won. YEAH! Hopefully, the next game it will be a lot warmer and we can enjoy being outside. I usually go walking 3 mornings a week in the cold, but I guess working out makes it so I am not as cold. I am glad that it is at least getting light now during my walks and it is not pitch-black. It seems to make it easier to get going in the mornings. As a side note, Lee graduates in about 3 weeks. MAY 2 is the day!!!
