School Talent Show

These videos are pretty poor quality, but both Mara and Carson did a great job on the Talent show at their school. They worked hard to make sure their piano pieces were perfect.

Good job!

Happy Birthday Kale!

I have been very slow on posting about Kale's Birthday! He is now officially 6 years old. We had his birthday at a local Sport's complex, and the kids played minature golf. (Well, they "played" with kindergarten rules.)  They had so much fun, and the weather was great! They were able to eat pizza and had cupcakes as well. It was a really fun day.

Happy Birthday Kale!

Catch up!

Sorry I have not posted for awhile! I will try to play a little catch up, even though I am very behind! Carson received an award at school. It was the Principals Honor Roll. He has earned A's all year. He has worked hard, and is in advanced classes as well. Good job Carson!

It is is that time of year again for the Pinewood Derby! It is taken very seriously in our house. Carson worked very hard coming up with a design, and doing most of the work.
All the cars very, very competitive this year. While Carson did not win, he still had a lot of fun building it.
He worked very hard for a couple of weeks to get his car perfect.
This is the finished product! I think it looks great. The paint job was fantastic.

We have a pass to the Air and Space Museum this year, and we like to go when we have time.

In third grade this year, they had a wax museum. All the kids picked someone they wanted to be. It had to be someone in history, and had done something notable. Mara picked Susan B. Anthony. They had to memorize 5 facts and recite them when you pushed the sticker on their hand. All of the third grade participated. It was fun to listen to all the different facts, and see all the kids dressed up!

Last but not least, Lee has a new job! It is a job we have been praying for since he graduated last year. He works for WPX energy as a Geo scientist II, which means he will be on a team in charge of the operations of the oil rigs from their company drilling up in N.Dakota. No we will be not moving! They do this remotely from Tulsa. He will have to visit there occasionally. It was a great promotion, and he will be working a normal 40 hour work week. He really likes it so far, and he likes the people he works with as well. This picture is the view from his office window in downtown Tulsa. We are very excited to have him home more, and being home on the weekends, etc...
