Mother's Day

I have to admit, that sometimes I dread mother's day. Not because I don't love being a mother, it is because sometimes going to church and listening to the perfect mother's lesson and talks makes me feel guilty about what I am not doing. But, this year it wasn't bad, and I know that I am usually doing the best that I can. I actually had a great mother's day. Lee and the kids made me breakfast in bed, and gave me their gifts. Carson and Mara gave me gifts that they made at school. Carson made a wall hanging with his picture on it, and it is really nice. Mara had a picture taken at school with her all dressed up in clothes from Japan, and it had a little poem with it. They also had picked out some earrings and necklace that lee bought for them to give me. Lee had me go to IKEA with him to get a bookshelf that I wanted. I am a avid reader and I am collecting many books :) So now I have somewhere to put them in a orderly fashion. After church, Lee made me a nice lunch and then let me take a nap. YEAH! I then helped him clean up a little and make a nice dinner for his parents, whom we invited over. We had a good visit and enjoyed the nice weather. THANK YOU LEE! It was a great mother's day. I have a great husband who cares about me and wants to let me know that I am appreciated. I also have great kids, they keep me on my toes, but they are great blessings in my life. I am grateful to have this most important calling in my life of being called a mother.
