Liberty, Missouri

We had the chance to visit Liberty, MO over the kids spring break. It was really fun, and we learned quite a bit. Carson is sitting in front of the replica of the Liberty Jail, where Joseph Smith and 5 others were sent to live for 4 months.

The upstairs of the jail. This is where the jailer lived.

Outside the jail.

This is one of the windows they had in the basement of the jail. Actually after the window, it had a layer of rock before opening up to the dungeon they lived in.

We also visited Watkins Mill. It now belongs to the state parks. It used to be a farm and textile and woolen mill.

It really was a fun trip. Seeing all the "older" homes around the old house that weren't there when we lived there made me fool really old.
